Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

On iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → YardDove → Cancel. On Android: Google Play → Subscriptions. On web: Profile → Subscription. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Does YardDove use my location in the background?

No. Location is optional and used only while you use Travel features to show nearby places and distances. We do not track location in the background.

Why does the app ask for microphone access?

Microphone access is optional and used for voice translation, pronunciation practice, and speech-to-text. You can decline and still use text-based features.

How do I delete my account?

Email support@yarddove.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm and remove your data within 30 days.

Is translation always accurate?

Translations (including Jamaican Patois / Patwa) are provided for convenience and learning. Always verify important information with a local speaker or official source.
